I have a press mirage G4 (that’s the sedan) what would you like to know about it? If I can answer it with out breaking the terms of the press loaner I shall endeavor to do so.

Is it manual or CVT?

I drove a manual hatch a couple years ago and was really disappointed with it. The shifter angles too far forward and it was very vague.

Other than “Cheapest new car with a warranty,” are there other redeeming features? Are there non-financial reasons to choose this car?

Are you allowed to autocross it?

How adequate is 70 something horsepower

Will it save Mitsubishi Motors?

In your review you should tell them that they need to offer a sunroof, and that the base MSRP is way too high. If it was $9000 or so, the Mirage would be more worth it.

Is your press car manual or CVT?

How does the acceleration feel? How comfortably can you sit in the back seat? Do the rear seats fold for more trunk space? How is the trunk space? How is rear visibility?

So the one I have has a msrp of 17k, for 17k I think this is a really good value and nothing actually feels cheap inside with the exception of the sun visors

Cry and it shows! Pedal Hard down and there is no fake shift points, it doesn’t feel cheap inside tho. Which is the most surprising thing to me

Acceleration feels uh underwhelming

I haven’t tried the back seat but I can put a rear facing child seat in back and have no issues sitting Infront of it. (I’m 6'2")

Radar visibility is the same shittyness of a fiesta sedan. (Rear view cam tho) I’ll check the other stuff soon

Eh, I can’t say what’s worth 17k to you, but to me if some one was looking into a cheap commuter car. I would recommend this over a fiesta sedan

I kinda want to drive one with the CVT. I’m obsessed with these little Mirages, especially in that plasma purple they don’t make anymore.

It’s not as quirky as I thought it be. Just a small sensible car

I remember looking at my dad’s car in the 80's (‘86 Chevy celebrity Eurosport) and noticed something about American cars vs. the rest of the world. Draw the wheels and tires and draw a line of the bottom of the rocker panel, it bisects the wheels dead center where the rest of the world has much lower rocker panels. Also, the tires never fit the wheel well.

Do you see that in this car? I do. I see a whole bunch of car and tiny wheels and tires. I drove a ‘81 VW Jetta back in the day and even with 13" wheels, It didn’t have that overall effect of a bulbous car on coasters.

What’s your take? Is it the best anyone can do in making a small sedan with the required safety bags and zones, etc, or is it really a blob of car unnecessarily big? Looks like the trunk could be totally flat with its wheels underneath.

I’m not in love with the side view of the car

Kinja'd!!!

It’s a bit balubus, but for the interior volume of the car I would take the trade off. I think the wheels fit fairly well in the wheel well. The rockers are definitely lower then the center of the wheel.

Yeah, the Fiesta’s DCT sucks. Recalled a dozen times and STILL doesn’t work right! Time for them to just install a regular automatic transmission (in fact, a 4-speed auto is available in Europe)

17k gets you a Yaris, Fit, or Sonic.
